The idea
The blasphemy law (and any other law that protects religious beliefs more than any other belief) should be scraped.
Why is it important?
Firstly the blasphemy laws are never used and so fits the unnecessary point perfectly, but they are also designed specifically to protect from any critisism, one very specific set of ideas. If I believe my football team is the greatest ever I don't get protection from the law from rival fans saying I am talking rubbish, and niether I should. Niether should anyones beliefs be protected by law from critisism.
