The idea
Make continuous payment authorities cancelable by the person who initiated them.
Why is it important?
Many persons have bought goods using Continuous Payment Authorities. When they subsequently wish to stop receiving the goods/service for which they subscribed they cannot cancel the payment authority, only the business receiving the money can do that. Even if a person closes his account, the recipient of the money can continue debiting that account and the person is liable for the debt.
Most organizations are honest, but some are not and continue to collect the money, and many are inefficient and continue taking money while their systems are processing the stop notice.
I am currently in dispute with experian about how they used my credit card to set up a c p a without my knowledge or consent.
