The idea
If you want to boast you live in a free country, you can't imprison people for using recreational drugs. It's the vilest hypocrisy.
Legalise all drugs, regulate and professionalise their distribution, make billions by taxing them like we do with alcohol and nicotine, save millions by not having to police the ludicrous drugs policies we have in place. Create a new industry and new legitimate jobs.
Stop gifting the drugs industry to thugs and morons tax free.
And make a statement about freedom in the process.
Why is it important?
Because if we had the courage to do it we'd light a beacon of freedom to inspire the world, reduce crime, dis-empower criminal gangs, generate proper jobs and tax revenue, and save huge amounts of money fighting "the war on drugs" which we'll always lose.
