The idea
As soon as circumstances allow, time should be made for the House of Parliament to vote on repeal of the Hunting Act, restoring the legal status of hunting with dogs.
Why is it important?
The Hunting Act should be repealed as soon as practically possible because it is unjust, ill-considered and does nothing to advance the cause of animal welfare. It has caused division, discontent and disillusionment with the government amongst rural communities across Britain. It has criminalised a law-abiding minority and imposed the added burden of an ill-conceived law on the police.
